Who writes OutagePack, and how the numbers get here
OutagePack is a small comparison site about portable power stations for fridge backup and apartments. We would rather publish a blank cell than invent a watt-hour.
Who we are
The job is honest spec comparison for people who want the refrigerator and the router to survive a blackout — not a bunker, not a whole-home install brochure. We cover current US-sold Jackery Explorer v2, EcoFlow DELTA 3, and BLUETTI AC180 / AC200L units.
We are not a testing lab, an electrician, or a medical device company. We do not have a warehouse of review units on a bench. When we say 1,070 Wh, it is because Jackery’s tech spec block says 30.4 Ah / 35.2 V DC (1,070 Wh).
Methodology
Updated September 2026.
- Read current official product pages (jackery.com, ecoflow.com/us, bluettipower.com) plus brand manuals and the buying-advice blogs those domains publish.
- Record only specs the manufacturer publishes: Wh, rated watts, surge, chemistry, cycle claims, weight, size, solar input, UPS time, expandability, listed fridge runtimes. If two official blocks disagree, we print both instead of averaging.
- Fridge hours appear only when the maker stated them. Jackery calculator tables are continuous-watt math. EcoFlow strips are marketing runtimes. BLUETTI AC180 explicitly excludes compressor loads from its formula.
- Write a verdict as a constraint match: stairs, fridge night, extra batteries. Not a trophy for the brand with the best hero video.
We do not invent street prices. Manufacturer listed prices appear with that label and a date. Buttons say “Check price,” not “Buy now $X.” Amazon URLs include our Associates tag only when we verified an ASIN; otherwise we link the brand page.

Rankings are not sold. A brand cannot pay to be “best overall.” We also link official Jackery, EcoFlow, and BLUETTI stores when an ASIN is missing or as a second source.
Medical and CPAP
Portable power stations are consumer batteries with inverters. They are not cleared as medical devices on these pages. Jackery’s Explorer 1000 v2 and 2000 v2 FAQs state the products are not recommended for medical devices, life-support, or applications where a power interruption could cause injury. EcoFlow documents UPS switchover for computers, NAS, and similar loads.
OutagePack will not claim a power station treats a condition or is a CPAP therapy device. If wattage is mentioned next to a device type, it is a product capability (the inverter can supply that many watts), not a recommendation to power life-support.
What we flagged instead of guessing
- Jackery Explorer 3000 v2 US PDP: no weight in the fetch; not invented (Jackery EU blog lists ~59.5 lb — kept out of US tables).
- EcoFlow DELTA 3 Classic: cycle count not on the comparison table we fetched; 10-year LFP claim used instead of a fake 4,000-cycle number copied from Plus.
- EcoFlow DELTA 3 Max Plus: chassis weight and max PV watts not on the PDP fetch — omitted.
- BLUETTI AC180 weight: spec block 35.27 lb vs body copy 37 lb. Table uses the spec block.
- Jackery 2000 v2 fridge: 7.7 h (blog), 18–24 h (blackout guide), “full-day” (PDP). All three shown.
